Cottbus trailer director 2014 shows his debut at the Berlinale

PATHS, the first feature by Chris Miera, director of the FilmFestival Cottbus trailer 2014 which adapted that year’s focus section’s subject “queerEAST”, is shown at the Berlin Film Festival 2017. PATHS has its world premiere in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section. The drama tells about Andreas and Martin, a couple which had to realise during their first holiday since year’s, that their common emotions became much more distanced than expected. Fourteen Films, including nine full-length fiction and documentary films, have been invited for the Perspektive Deutsches Kino in 2017. Strong fiction films by millennials characterise this year’s selection. The directors, who are mostly in their early 30s and were coming of age around the turn of the millennium, were shaped and socialised by this period.

The film was produced by the Film University Potsdam-Babelsberg Konrad Wolf.
