Educational Programs for Children and Teens
FilmFestival Cottbus offers a diverse programme for children, young people and school groups, ranging from morning screenings and workshops to seminars and a children’s festival.
The KIDS IM KINO and GenNext sections are specifically aimed at younger audiences. Films in these two sections have FSK age ratings, which are indicated on the respective film detail pages on our website. Films in all other sections generally do not have an FSK rating unless one is explicitly stated on the respective film detail page.
Going to the cinema with your whole class?
With the support of Falken GmbH in Peitz, the first five school classes to register will receive free cinema tickets.
The scheduled school screenings at the 36th FFC (3–8 November 2026) will be published here shortly.
Polish-Czech Student Exchange
As part of the FFC’s Polish-Czech student exchange, young people have the opportunity to explore films and their contexts in greater depth. Through workshops and film discussions, they can delve into the art of filmmaking while also exchanging perspectives on their countries and everyday lives.
