The Ballad of Piargy FFC Film in Berlin on 13 April

THE BALLAD OF PIARGY screened at the 2022 FFC at the Spectrum and can be seen on Thursday, April 13, at 7 pm in Berlin.

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Institute in Berlin invites to the screening.The film will be shown with English subtitles.

The mountain looms menacingly over the Slovakian village of Piargy. It is an omen, thinks the village's herbalist, because one day the Antichrist will be born in this place of sin. But is this really why Piargy was destroyed by the forces of nature? Tense moral picture of rural Slovakia shortly before the Second World War, which at the same time bears features of a Greek tragedy.
