Festivalblog: Thursday [Updated]

We are in the middle of the festival and the program is packed and varied! You can find the whole program here.

In addition to many films, there is also a varied supporting program again today. Here is a selection:

Church meets cinema: In the Oberkirche St. Nikolai the Ecumenical Evening takes place at 5 pm. The film NO BODY AND THE BLUE SKY from the EcoEast section will be shown. Here you will experience cinema in an extraordinary location and atmosphere! The filmmaker will also be present. ADMISSION IS FREE.

Also from the EcoEast section is the film A TUNNEL, which will be shown at 5 p.m. in the Gladhouse. The film is about a large-scale economic project ("New Silk Road") that not only has consequences for the environment in Georgia, but also for local social coexistence. Afterwards, a discussion with top-class guests will take place in the same location (more info, tickets and trailer).

Do you love film music? Then you shouldn't miss the Scandale Club's film music quiz! Look forward to film soundtracks, epic scores, series intros and everything else that the film world has to offer! (More info)

Who is still looking for fun and good mood in the later evening, should come to the Bellessa (Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse No. 36, 03044 Cottbus) from 10 pm to the NA PASSASCHOK - Party! In the FFC history, vodka and Tex-Mex belonged together just like blue stripes and sidewalks. From this year on vodka "kisses" samba and flamenco. This is the place to meet filmmakers, the festival team or the festival-crazy neighbor! At the bar, on the dance floor or on the terrace. Long live the little Friday!

And what else? This morning the international students were guided through Cottbus in bright sunshine.

By the way, yesterday was the world premiere of the Ukrainian hit KINGS OF RAP (Myroslav Latyk UA, 2021). You can still see the film on Sunday at 18:30 in the Weltspiegel. (info & tickets). In total, 22 world premieres will screen at the 32nd FFC!
