While the police investigate all lines of enquiry, Wiktoria is certain from the start - her daughter has innocently fallen into the clutches of a network of drug dealers through her new boyfriend. Her sudden disappearance after the university entrance ceremony must have something to do with it. Wiktoria's ex-husband is not actually allowed to see his daughter anymore, and yet as a police officer and IT expert he proves helpful with Wiktoria's investigations – also on an informal basis.
The plot remains true to the rules of the genre and stringently accompanies the hunt for the perpetrators, victims and motives. It does however draw a symbolic charge from a range of varying visual motifs: reflective surfaces break, obscure, render unrecognisable or distort a frame, a lakefront in various lighting conditions repeatedly attracts attention whilst the protagonist's constantly changing, intensely coloured clothing contrasts with the often gloomy surroundings.
