Trailer
In an old, overgrown and run-down mansion, it is mainly the two brothers Hedgehog and Japan who continue their father's research project. Surrounded by preserved animal carcasses, electronic devices and the villa’s historical ornaments, they use their mother's wardrobe to dispatch animals to other dimensions – in part at least. What often remains are dead or mutated creatures, and the last, unknown variables have to be adjusted. Then Dummy, the third brother and loyal assistant brings Samantha, the pharmacist's daughter and his new girlfriend, along. During a night of unrestrained drug consumption and intoxication, Hedgehog has a vision: at her grave his mother prophesies, in the form of a strange flower, that Samantha is the key to the other dimension. SHE LOVED BLOSSOMS MORE is a bizarre, visually fascinating horror story about loss and grief that would not appear to be bound to any time or dimension. The boundaries are fluid. In the constant fog that envelops the house, in the dim light of the chandeliers and in the bright flashes of the time machine, fantastic reality and intoxicated illusions blur together. With a pronounced love of (sometimes unsavoury) detail, the film offers up a disturbing take on the desire to cross the line between life and death.
