Sorbian, regional and international filmmaking, all brought together in one place. Current feature films and documentaries as well as archive treasures and rediscoveries reflect, in a variety of ways, on the meaning of  home. Films from Upper and Lower Lusatia speak of Sorbian worlds. Lusatia was and remains: serbski! At the same time, we also encounter stories from elsewhere that resonate just as powerfully here as they do in the places where they originally took place.

In JE’VIDA, an old woman returns to the place of her childhood in order to face her past. A small-scale retrospective is dedicated to returnee Dirk Lienig. The 6th episode of the long-term documentary dedicated to the Cottbuser Ostsee promises hope apropos the creation of Brandenburg’s largest lake. For their long-term observation BLAUBEEREN – WINTERLIEB – WUHLO, Maja Nagel and Julius Günzel repeatedly, over the course of twelve years, return to the municipality of Schleife and document the disappearance of a landscape. On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall we take a look back, with FRAGMENTE EINER WIRKLICHKEIT, at the year 1989 and the changes that subsequently took place in Lusatia. The short film programme ŁUŽYCA SHORTS presents current short films from Lusatia.
