Valdis' old friends, Märt and Ott, who today work for the burger-frying police and spend the whole working day smoking joints, want to show him how life in Estonia now works. But Valdis - already a little slow on the uptake - does not want to and indeed cannot comprehend what he sees. When the vaccination that is supposed to provide relief degenerates into a euphoric orgy, he ends up in the hiding place of other vaccination sceptics; the only ones who know that the earth is flat. They plan to declare war on the vegan surveillance state at an upcoming class reunion. Twelve years on from his short film 'ALIEN OR: VALDI'S ESCAPE IN 11 CHAPTERS', Rasmus Merivoo presents the sequel thereof; an absurd story that itself comes across like the actual alien abduction. In an abstruse world he serves up shameless humour that goes below the belt in the truest sense of the word; at times almost unmercifully so. The whole thing is less a cynical parody of a 'woke' way of life and more of people and ideologies themselves, one in which everyone is the brunt of the joke: feminists, sexists, men both "weak" and "strong", nationalists, conspiracy theorists and the polyamorous. Valdi's childhood trauma, in turn the basis of his destructive behaviour, also proves to be a national trauma.
