The twelve best productions from Central and Eastern Europe. Ambitious talents compete with old masters and star directors.

Cinema from east-central and eastern Europe at its best; ranging from the highly personal to the adventurous and contemplative. Films that, at times rather unconventionally, hit the nail on the head: twelve titles, all of which would be worthy winners of the Lubinas for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actor - who will take home the coveted awards?

These prizes are awarded by the international festival jury:

Main prize for the best film 15.000 EUR
donated by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg

Special Award for Best Director 7.500 EU
donated by Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg rbb

Prize for an outstanding individual performance 5,000 EUR
donated by Sparkasse Spree-Neiße
