In 2018, socially-engaged citizens of Hoyerswerda came together in the Centrum Warenhaus. They wanted to be involved in the shaping of their home-town’s future and make their voices heard. They rehearse and stage a play in which they make their demands to the city's politicians. Five dance performances across five different rooms, accompanied by reports from the city's eventful history, all performed in the same year.

Part of KLEINE WERKSCHAU – DIRK LIENIG

Returnee Dirk Lienig, who grew up in Hoyerswerda, became a filmmaker after ending his career as a dancer. He returned after spending time in Australia and South America. With dance projects and as a film teacher, he breathes new life into the cultural life of his former home-town.
