Her boyfriend Martin lets her boss him around and also supports his best friend George, who owes money to a local petty criminal. The gun that George steals from his father, who has been suspended from the police force, soon comes to play a crucial role - when Matea and Martin accidentally come into contact with a far more dangerous type of criminal…
A brothel ship carrying an illegal human cargo, a compromising video, corruption at all levels and a trio of naive yet resourceful teenagers are the ingredients of this fast-paced, dark gangster comedy from North Macedonia. Leaps in time, witty dialogues and various crime locations make the film seem like a homage to Quentin Tarantino. Director Dimitar Orovchanec manages to shed light on social and moral fissures in post-Yugoslav society, in the process painting a picture of Skopje as a place caught between tradition and (international) organised crime. And sets the whole thing to the rousing music of Tchaikovsky.
