Impulsive Wanda is simply annoyed. She and her boyfriend Janek have grown apart. They are chronically short of money, constantly argue, their joyless everyday existence is just a repetition of the same old thing, and Janek's routine pragmatism drives her mad. One thing is clear to them: they either reconnect by together undertaking a boundary-testing experience - or part ways forever.
And so they set off, along the Polish Baltic coast from west to east. One rule is non-negotiable: they cannot leave the beach. Any transgressions and the project is over - that applies to the trip and also to their relationship. Wind, cold and exhaustion take their toll, as does the need to find common ground on the smallest of details, and that despite their different personalities.
With this, her debut work, Maria Zbąska stages a journey that would appear to have neither a beginning nor an end.
