Leila Basma, a Lebanese filmmaker studying at Prague FAMU, who has grappled with the same question herself, takes us back to her country of origin for a day in SEA SALT, a visually striking coming-of-age story that uses powerful symbolism to offer a sensitive insight into the lives of Lebanon's young generation.

Leila Basma - Leila Basma is a Lebanese filmmaker and photographer currently based between Beirut and Prague, finishing her MFA in Film Directing at FAMU. Her second-year short documentary The Adam Basma Project was short-listed for the 48th annual Student Academy Awards (the Student Oscars) after touring various international documentary film festivals.
