Trailer
Actually, he just wanted to do an old friend a favor and put the stranger up on his sofa for a few days. But despite all the language barriers, grumpy Spaniard Alfredo and Vasil, the bright Bulgarian, slowly become closer. The pensioner's children apparently think that Dad has become gay and give him a little introduction to Bulgarian. But it's about something else. Through his open but also reserved nature and his special wisdom, Vasil changes the people around him. He also plays bridge and chess like no other. But many people distrust him because so little is known about him. In her feature film debut, Avelina Prat both warmly and quietly tells a story about old age, loneliness and prejudice against strangers. Interesting constellation with lots of funny situations and feel-good perspectives. The film lives particularly well from its great leading actors, Karra Elejalde and Ivan Barnev.
