Structural change in Brandenburg is one of the region's most discussed topics. And yet where industry changes industrial heritage also changes, and where industrial heritage changes urban spaces, everyday working lives and coexistence also change.

The FilmWerkStadt series, which began in the run-up to this year's FFC with screenings at industrial heritage sites in the south of Brandenburg, discusses how changing worlds of work affect society. Does the transition from "dirty" to "clean" industry also mean a transition from "working class" to "individual responsibility"? Will the principle of solidarity in mining be replaced by competition between independent workers? Does the road lead from a shared beer after work to self-promotion? Who can adapt to these new times? Who will fail to find a place for themselves and who will manage to taste these new freedoms? And how does this change the appearance of the landscape, streets and places that lose their old meaning, only to gain a new one in its place? Snapshots and long-term observations.
