The scene plays out to the backdrop of a half-built prefab housing estate. The contrast between the festive mood of the congregation and the surrounding half-finished shells of cold and gloomy houses could hardly be greater. It's Easter Sunday.
In this black and white observation free of commentary we witness the Orthodox Easter ceremony, during which custom dictates that the food is to be blessed by a priest. Listening to the fragments of conversation between the faithful which we overhear in the background, as well as the short speech from the cleric, an underlying sense of discontent with the system can be discerned.
