Vladica’s father, advocate of the core ethics of martial arts, watches on with disapproval as his son falls in love with Snezana, the attractive single mother of one of his pupils. This is nothing compared with his displeasure at his son’s decision to subsidise his meager earnings by working as a guard for the local mafia, as well as take part in illegal underground fights.
JESEN SAMURAJA is a tale of sporting decline, the subsequent struggle to reach the top again and the necessity of love in turning even the most able of fighters into a man. This love story complete with elements of comedy and extended fight scenes was last year’s most successful cinema production in Serbia, providing director Danilo Bećković and producer Marko Paljić with their second domestic box office hit, following on from the success on MALI BUDO/LITTLE BUDDHO (2014).
