Despite his tender years Zachy is a successful YouTuber; he is in fact only twelve. His videos receive in excess of a million views, but then there are the hateful comments: how is he to deal with them? Oskar, thirteen, is a gamer who spends his days in a darkened bedroom in front of a computer screen. Is this to be taken as the norm or a sign of addiction? Fifteen-year-old Nikola met a nice boy online, or at least she thinks so until an unpleasant surprise teaches her otherwise. Though reluctant at first, she turns to her mother for help; the latter is able to assist, as opposed to the many parents who are generally either unsure of how or simply unable to help. The latter applies to Zachy's father, a forest warden who tries to understand his son as he might, nevertheless struggles to comprehend the youngster's behaviour. It's not easy being the first generation of parents faced with addressing their children's media consumption, all the more so given the grandparents' inability to help. CF
