When Tonda Blaník's mobile rings it's generally either his anxious mother or an influential politician with an unusual request. This time Miloš Zeman demands that he organise a meeting with Donald Trump, anxious as he is to finally tell the American President his favourite anecdote. Given lobbyist Blaník and his two employees are currently on a “shoe shopping trip” in New York, there's indeed nothing stopping them from popping by at Trump Towers.
This popular series, already able to look back on five series, is quick to react to events that cause a stir in Czech society. The show's makers are politically neutral, and thus nobody is safe from scrutiny, with its success owing to directors Marek Najbrt and Bohdan Sláma, otherwise well-known for their feature film productions, production company Negativ, likewise better known for its feature film and documentary works, as well as Internet TV station stream.cz, a Czech equivalent to YouTube.
