Odborný dohled nad východem Slunce

An old saxophone player buys himself a house in a Bohemian provincial town. In the local pub he encounters an unwelcome apparition from his past: Behind the bar stands a former secret police informer who once tormented him and his two friends: Together they plot revenge. Shot in expressive black and white this intimate work is an original contribution towards the process of coming to terms with the era of German reunification. The saxophone player is played by Vratislav Brabenec, a member of the legendary underground band The Plastic People who himself spent time behind bars during the socialist era.
