the Healing
A Serbian monk leaves his monastery; The long road to his isolated hermitage leads him through an untouched landscape. His solitude is interrupted by the visit of an elderly Muslim and his terminally ill grandson. The elderly man asks the monk to save the ten-year-old by means of his spiritual powers. In the calm, almost meditative rhythm of the film's narrative the dark secret the three share is unlocked. A tale of vengeance, forgiveness, and ultimately healing.

Ivan Jović - – born in 1971. MA-holder in special school educational theory, he later participated in various alternative educational projects. Jović is the author of several books, including two novels, and the screenplay for several television documentary projects. ISCELJEJE is his directing debut.
