Cameraman Martin Duba's second release as a director is marked by original screenplay and its unconventional leading actresses. Five cows are suspected of having contracted BSE. Before they can be transported to the slaughter house they escape however, as a result of which the local village splits into two contending camps: Farmer Pazdera and his children want the animals to be given a chance to survive in the wild. Local hunters however attempt to catch them, one of them even comparing the cows with the Taliban. An entertaining comedy with a serious undertone based on a bizarre village conflict which unfolded during the mass hysteria surrounding BSE.
