For those interested in football: Éric Cantona, legendary striker for Manchester United back in the nineties, plays a Brazilian brickmaker whose rough-around-the-edges persona disguises a warmhearted interior. His rebellious and nonconformist nature stands in stark contrast to Anka, whose childhood remains full of hope, not least that of finding a loving family. Their fates soon come to be intertwined however, in a tale that ultimately returns both that which they once lost.

Based on a tale with its roots in the 19th century, the film was made with high production values and a technical implementation in terms of the fantasy characters that gives it a somewhat spine-chilling nature.
