The twins Lascha and Tami have to grow up without a father. They don't however take it so badly, because according to their grandfather Georgi, he's away on an "important mission". In their eyes he's a secret agent, maybe even a super hero. Yet when he one day appears at the front door it quickly becomes clear what Georgi was attempting to hide from the children with his fabulous tales: Datho has spent the past six years in prison. Now he has to come to terms with the disappointment of his children and the fact that his beloved wife is now seeing someone else.
Datho, a meteorologist, despairingly throws himself into his work. Whilst on his way to a weather station one evening he is struck by lightning and yet, as if by miracle, he escapes unscathed. He quickly realises however that the incident did indeed leave its mark: Datho is now able, via the power of his senses, to control the local weather, whether it be turning rain into sunshine or conjuring up cotton-wool clouds or a rainbow in the sky. Now transformed into a kind of "superhero" after all, he attempts to win back the grace and love of his family with the help of his magic powers.
This colourful and romantic fairy tale about the power of love and the worthwhile struggle for it is based on screenplay by the renowned author Irakli Kvirikadze.
