THE CLOUD CATCHER
The sun is to blame for everything in this perfectly produced Slovenian apocalypse scenario. For centuries now (we're writing in the year 2147) it has been drying our planet up, to the extent that it now consists of nothing more than desert. Water is a rare commodity and the few survivors take cover from the sun as best they can. The inhabitants of one of the remaining cities stoically await the end when a stranger enters the bar...
The story is based upon the comics of Tomaž Lavrič, a famous Slovenian illustrator and cartoonist, and was expertly filmed by Vilko Filač who, amongst other things, shot Kusturica's UNDERGROUND.

Miha Knific - born 1976 in Kranj, Slovenia. Studied at The Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana and later specialised in cinema and video at The Royal University College of Fine Arts in Stockholm. Knific later worked, among other things, as a director, scriptwriter, producer, photographer and lecturer.
