Veronika is no longer able to sleep through the night. Beside her on the bedside table is a baby monitor. It's not her child in the adjoining room however, but her eighty-five-year-old grandmother. Herself still a teenager, she looks after her grandma when her mother, who as a nurse works various shifts, isn't home. The elderly woman requires just as much attention as a young child and Veronika doesn't often have much time for a life of her own.
This short film describes with some precision the helpless feeling of being at the mercy of another, from which both grandmother and granddaughter suffer. Finally Veronika can’t take it anymore...
