JORINDE AND JORINGEL
Jorinde and Joringel are in love. Nevertheless Jorinde’s father is against the idea of the two marrying and thus the couple take flight; their happiness however proves fleeting. Jorinde falls under the spell of a seductive enchantress and thus everything seems doomed, since nobody has yet managed to infiltrate the sorceress’ realm. Joringel has a plan however: with skill and agility he outwits the feared robber baron and steals his most dangerous weapon, a magic flower. With the assistance thereof Joringel is thus able to rescue his beloved Jorinde.
Recently finalised, this RBB production will celebrate its world premiere at this year’s FilmFestival Cottbus.

Bodo Fürneisen - born 1950 in Berlin. Completed an apprenticeship as a type setter, later studying stage directing at the Film and Television University (HFF) “Konrad Wolf” in Potsdam-Babelsberg during the years 1973-77. Works predominantly for public service television broadcasters.
