Two fathers on the search for their children: A Romanian travels to Kosovo, in order to free his daughter from forced prostitution, a Serb travels to Romania, where his son was killed in a car accident. Both men meet on the river Danube. Two hundred years ago a wooden church was pulled across the ice at a time when the construction thereof was prohibited. Will these modern-day human odysseys across the Balkans also one day become legends?
A visually expressive parable on the fine line between fatalism and the will to survive, failed states and Babylonian games of deception, multiethnic distrust and an obsession with history.
