Alex, aka Koss, has dropped his studies and is
now a gamer; At the local computer club he‘s
the champ and the idol of local youths. He‘s a
loner with only one goal: To play and become
the best in the world. In contrast to his single
mother he‘s convinced he‘s on the path to a
secure future. On approaching his dream he
starts to have doubts however. Oleg Sentsov‘s
realistic portrait is characterised by a lucid
narrative, documentary footage and supporting
actors from the gaming milieu.

Oleg Sentsov - – born 1976 in Simferopol, Crimea. Studied
directing and scriptwriting in Moscow. In
2012 his debut feature film premiered at the
IFFR in Rotterdam. The filming of his second
fi lm RHINO was interrupted by his arrest in
May 2014.
