Water Hands
Water Hands

The film title is a literal interpretation of the Chinese term for seaman. The sailor protagonist, the alter ego of the Singapore-based Montenegrin director, takes the same journey in the opposite direction. In a series of letters with his Southeast Asia-based girlfriend an intimate reflection on rootlessness, jealousy and yearning unfolds, which in time evolves into an incisive intercontinental, European-Asian dialogue.
An engagingly illustrated analysis of the life of a cosmopolitan in the age of globalisation.
