Kostya is 23 years old and works on the metro. One day his doctor tells him that he has a heart defect and could die any time. The camera quietly follows him and, in black-and-white, captures life in a big city: these are Moscow’s streets, even if the scenes on the metro were filmed in St Petersburg. Faced with death, Kostya tracks down his father, consults a fortune teller (a cameo appearance of Renata Litvinova) – but really, there is no love, no care, and no future for him in this world. BiB

Nikolay Khomeriki - born 1975 in Moscow, Russia. Studied directing and scriptwriting under the guidance of Vladimir Khotinenko, Paul Finn and Vladimir Fenchenko. Also studied directing at the “La fémis” film school in Paris, France, from 2001-05.
