The film tells the largely fictional tale of Hungary's most famous rescue dog Mancs. Zoli secretly gives the then-puppy a home and proceeds to train him as a rescue dog. With the help of friends he then founds the Spider Rescue Team, which subsequently takes part in a number of successful rescue missions.
The German shepherd dog Mancs hit the headlines when, back in 1999, it helped rescue a three-year-old girl who spent 82 hours underground in the aftermath of the İzmit earthquake. AB
