Hungary, 2015, 92 Min

Unbeknown to his pregnant wife the mechanic Zoli takes in a puppy and proceeds to train it as a rescue dog. Drawing upon his experience as a former dog trainer he founds a rescue team that goes on to undertake a number of daring, yet successful operations.

The film tells the largely fictional tale of Hungary's most famous rescue dog Mancs. Zoli secretly gives the then-puppy a home and proceeds to train him as a rescue dog. With the help of friends he then founds the Spider Rescue Team, which subsequently takes part in a number of successful rescue missions.

The German shepherd dog Mancs hit the headlines when, back in 1999, it helped rescue a three-year-old girl who spent 82 hours underground in the aftermath of the İzmit earthquake. AB
