With relegation to the third division looming in the background, director Stefan Göbel paints a multifaceted portrait of a club caught between a sense of hope and resignation. In an attempt to capture and portray the atmosphere of the time he speaks to players and fans, all of whom refuse to give up; the resultant film likewise remains optimistic in defeat. GL

Stefan Göbel - born 1988 in Cottbus, Germany. Between 2009 and 2013 he studied audio-visual material with focus on directing, photography and editing at the Academy of Art in Breda, the Netherlands. Since his return to Cottbus in 2013, he works as a freelance editor and video journalist at rbb broadcasting, and works as an actor.
