The former first lady now reflects on an eventful life and a relationship which unfolded and developed in tandem with events from contemporary Georgian history. ZR

Ineke Smits - born 1960 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She studied Fine Arts at the Rotterdam Art Academy, then specialised in directing at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, UK. Besides making films, she has been teaching at Arnhem School of Fine Arts and at the Eindhoven School of Design.
