A father and daughter are reunited after years of separation and set off on a remarkable journey along the route of the now-defunct Orient Express, from Venice to Ljubljana and on to Istanbul via the Balkans in this highly unconventional road movie.

Liza travels from the Netherlands to Venice in order to meet her father Mauro, whom she last saw at the age of three when her parents separated. Hoping to get to know his daughter better Mauro, a well-travelled musician, takes her on an eventful voyage across six countries which takes them a distance of over 2,000 kilometres via Ljubljana, and Zagreb, the plains of northern Serbia and central Bulgaria all the way to the Bosporus. Eddy Terstall - born 1964 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He studied Political Sciences at the University of Amsterdam and started working in the film industry as an electrician. He directed his debut feature film in 1992. Furthermore, he continues to write and direct films and aspires a political career in the Netherlands.
