Though the Euromaidan movement remain fresh in the memory, Molotov cocktails and political slogans from the protests are already being transformed into museum exhibitions. A documentary on the creative power of resistance, the little-known heroes of a movement and the lightning-quick process of transforming the tools of revolution into museum exhibits.

There was a lot more to Ukrainian revolution of 2014 than political upheaval. The #Babylon 13’ collective of filmmakers, chroniclers of the series of violent events that culminated in the ousting of then-President Viktor Yanukovych, here show a different side to the Ukraine. A liberal, creative spirit mobilised thousands, transforming the socio-cultural consciousness of those involved in the process. Everyone got involved in activities as diverse as painting helmets and playing the piano for riot police. This documentary gives the young minds and archivists involved in these art happenings and the conservation thereof the chance to speak. JG

Nataliya Babintseva - graduated from the Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) in Moscow in 2005 and subsequently founded the KinoKi film studio in co-operation with fellow students. Furthermore, she works as screenwriter for television productions among others, and produces. Museum ‘Revolution’ is her first full-length project.
