The imagery lends the all-powerful tools of structural machinery a primeval, titanic look and feel; one feels they could easily originate from a distant geological age, just like the coal that was once converted into electricity here. A three-man wrecking crew reduce what once provided five-thousand people with work to rubble, inadvertently creating temporary sculptures in the process. A reflection on the local and global dimensions of reducing our dependence on non-renewable energy sources.
