A man and a boy fish in silence by the shore of a calm lake. Father and son have grown apart in the aftermath of the parents' divorce. Now with the first chance to catch up after a lengthy separation, they initially struggle for words, yet gradually they come to know and appreciate one another over again. Indeed life could be so perfect, tucked away by a secluded forest lake, were father and his colleagues not faced with imminent unemployment. A lyrical film on a love between father and son shaped by alienation and companionship. WMH
