The film's creators set off to Lower Styria, in north-eastern Slovenia, a region characteristic of central Europe as a whole with its history of war, ethnically motivated conflict, peace agreements and changes of political system; the result is a portrait of a collective conscience shaped just as much by this turbulent history, as by the rolling landscapes and vineyards it calls home.
