This debut collaboration of Berlin-Brandenburg Broadcasting (rbb) and Telewizja Polska S.A on a POLIZEIRUF 110-series turns the spotlight towards a region that rarely features on German TV screens. The focal point of the action is the fictional headquarters of the first German-Polish murder investigation team, based in what was once a border station between Frankfurt/Oder and Słubice. As well as friction based on the case, the new colleagues also have to overcome linguistic and cultural hurdles, a challenge that the binational cast overcomes with an authentic and yet ironic approach towards the clichéd modes of thinking that divide them.
We thank rbb for collaborating with us on this pre-première showing, which is to screen on ARD on 20 December 2015.
