Five students of film directing, five genres and five episodes from Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, seen from a variety of perspectives; the balcony, a building crane, from a car window, as well as both below and above the ground.

This anthology of works created by up-and-coming directors, all of whom were educated at foreign film schools, offers insight into a city otherwise widely associated with nothing more than petroleum and the Eurovision Song Contest; here we observe a courtyard love affair in bloom (Qonşu qadın/LADY NEXT DOOR), a basement rock venue (Kədərim/MY GRIEF IS LIGHT), how lives are saved on a building site (Yuxarıda və aşağıda/ABOVE AND BELOW), a search for the Baku of old which results in the discovery of the new (Dmitrov küçəsi 86/DMITROV ST 86) and a clash of the secret service with the drug Mafia (Zabit şərəfi/CODE OF HONOUR).
