A hut on the Zvir Mountain in eastern Slovakia. It was here that, shortly after the November revolution in Czechoslovakia, the Virgin Mary appeared before two young girls. The film shows images of the present-day place of pilgrimage and retraces the life history of one of the girls, Ivetka. Having lived in a closter for nine years she now leads a secular life. Behind the popularity of the apparition, in turn regarded with scepticism by the church, is concealed the story of an adolescent for whom a spiritual adventure and its associated symbolism turn into a psychological burden.
