Deda, Mama, me Gay Var

Six homosexuals bravely step in front of the camera and talk about self-disclosure, family relations and talk about heteronormativity in Georgian society. These tales are accompanied by footage of a demonstration which took place on International Day Against Homophobia in May 2012; The event triggered heated debate, as well as violence against homosexuals in the capital Tbilisi. This documentary speaks of the realities faced by homosexuals in contemporary Georgia from the perspective of diverse political viewpoints and illustrates the tense social landscape they are exposed to.
