Danko Babic works as a gynaecologist in a Croatian fertility clinic. In exchange for money he's willing to walk over dead bodies, in the truest sense of the word after a prostitute dies in his care in the course of an illegal abortion. His connections to the Zagreb Mafia prevent lead to a cover up of the case; on being promoted to the position of director of the clinic however Babic hopes to break free of his criminal ties, when an old acquaintance asks him for one last favour... LjudoŽder vegetarijanac is a thriller that broaches the issues of corruption and organised crime among Croatia's ruling elite. The film is Croatia's contribution to the 2013 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
