Victims of war; not only in the physical sense. The suffering numbs the feelings of those unfortunate enough to encounter it. Shkurta survived the Kosovo war only to return to a home that no longer was. It appears she is expected to fend for herself, that is until she encounters a man in the forest. He constructs coffins from the debris of war and his sole reality would appear to consist of the dead. His disdain for the girl represents a continuation of the violence he once suffered. A thoughtful portrayal of the retention of the brutality of war in postwar society. LCZ
