The chill of a Romanian city provides the backdrop to a narrative which unfolds around a broken down car, a young girl and her parents. The tense exchanges that break out between the tired trio appear so genuine that the impact is at times breath-taking. The malfunctioning car is of secon-dary importance relative to the minor digs the three take at each other. One of a num-ber of extraordinarily realistic productions to originate from Romanian cinema in recent years, which leave the viewer with the impression of having been chance witness to a genuine everyday occurrence.
