No sooner has Radu received message of his mother's death than he finds himself in a struggle over her body, since a post-mortem is to be carried out on her corpse to ascertain the cause of death. His relatives want to help, yet a discussion with his aunt sees old divisions resurface, as accusations are made and a quarrel breaks out. Coupled with the bureaucratic obstacles to be overcome, there remains little time for the grieving process. KF
