Trailer
Moscow, 1936. Lenin's mausoleum is due to open and pathologist Aleksey, together with assistant Sasha, are working on the preservation of the body. This short film from Estonian director Lauri Randla is a bitter satire on the ubiquitous terror of the Stalin regime which knew no mercy, not even for its very own “Heroes of Socialist Labour”, living as they do (admittedly without any choice in the matter) in the most luxurious residential building in the whole of the Soviet Union. What greater proof could there be of the pair's “bourgeois” leanings? EG
