An American break-dance film is screened in the cinemas of Communist East Germany in 1985. Frank and his friends are thrilled, what they'd give to be able to dance like that! When they begin to train on the streets government officials grow suspicious, and exploit the “harmful” Western trend for propaganda purposes. The youthful, passionate dance troupe soon achieve nationwide fame however, and yet they start to have doubts as to whether their acrobatic, exhibition dance can be brought into line with the philosophy of break-dance. A charming comedy about the dream of freedom.
