With his characteristic association-loaded, thought-provoking visual composition Bosnian director Dane Komljen creates a sense of suspense between present and past in this, his feature film debut. A blend of melancholic longing for the past and pragmatic handling of the present; when these bungalows were built, at some point in the sixties, they served as workers' recreation homes. Back then the likes of Boban and Boris perceived of themselves as valuable members of society, and local architects worked on trading centres and capital cities for the future, as they fuelled hopes for a better world with futuristically-shaped concreted, to be exported from the Adriatic Sea to Lagos and Brasilia. Whilst today new constructions, representative of a new ideology, spring up, this once utopia is now left to rust. An Atlantis, on which some see out the winter, whilst others, adventurers from foreign climes such as Komljen, set about reinterpreting this place, and thus the age with which it is intimately bound.
